Kerry King’s HIM is now in print
filed in Book Cover Illustrations and Artwork on Oct.25, 2012
Just got word from Joe Dansereau (president of Unicorn Castle Books) that Kerry King’s book HIM is now available for purchase. It’s a supernatural story, “based on actual events that happened in 1974” and, as such, seems like the perfect gift for Halloween.

Thank you, Joe. It was a real pleasure for me as well. And a beautiful cover, too.

Duncan,
In most cases, a book’s cover is its first selling point, and you did the perfect job with the “Him” cover. The colors are vibrant and eye-catching, and the depiction is sure to pique the curiosity of potential readers who will have no choice but to be drawn in by its mesmerizing quality. As the formatter of “Him” I heard nothing but great things about you from the author, and also from the president of Unicorn Castle Books. Your patience, courtesy, and assistance were greatly appreciated by us all. Thanks for helping to make the author’s dream of publishing “Him” come true with such a beautiful cover. Thanks, too, for always being there when contacted for assistance.

Thanks for the kind words, Debra. Certainly the author and folks at Unicorn books were great to work with, and it is always wonderful to have a cover project turn out so well. When an illustration and cover layout turns out so well, it’s generally because of the team effort that went into its creation — and that was certainly the case with this book cover.
